We operate a free play programme based on Te Whariki, the National Curriculum for NZ Early Childhood Education.  Children learn through free play where their dispositions are fostered.  We encourage children to take responsibility for their own learning by choosing their own activities, completing their work and ensuring the environment is respected by working together to keep it ready and inviting for the next person to play.

During their time at Kindergarten, your child will have the opportunity to:

  • Build relationships with other children, teachers and adults
  • Develop self confidence and self-esteem
  •  Research, discover and problem solve
  • Take responsibility
  • Develop literacy and numeracy skills
  • Develop creativity
  • Develop social competency skills
